Ms. Stella G. Kaaria

Ms Stella Kaaria is the current Manager, Board Services at the Media Council of Kenya (MCK) and the Media Industrial Placement Programme Coordinator. She has over 15 years’ experience from both the private and public sectors, in Communications and Public Relations, Project Management, Strategic Management, Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement and Administration.                       

Prior to these appointments, she served at MCK as; Communications and Partnerships Engagements Officer, Communications and Board Liaison Officer, Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, Programmes and Administration Officer, Administration and Customer Relations Officer. She also worked with Vivi Communications LTD as a Public Relations Officer responsible for Strategic Communication, Partnerships and Media Relations.

Stella holds certifications in Strategic Leadership and Management, Certified Public Relations Analyst, Senior Management Course, Corporate Governance and Leadership, Grants Management, Protocol and Events Management.

She’s a Member of the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK), a Fellow of the American Academy of Project Management (FAAPM), Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) and Association of Media Women in Kenya (AMWIK).

Stella holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Media Studies, Development Communication, from the University of Nairobi, where she is also completing her MA degree in Project Planning & Management. She also holds a Diploma in Journalism from Regional Institute of Management, examined by ABMA UK.

She served as a Committee Member – Communications and Public Relations in charge of Media Relations at the Kenya Fashion Council, September 2019–August 2022.
