Jerry Abuga is a communications specialist with over sixteen years experience from local and international non-governmental organisations, government bodies and media houses. He has previously worked at KCB Foundation, the social investments arm of KCB Group Plc, Energy 4 Impact, Gurtong Trust Peace & Media Project - South Sudan, Kenya Community Development Foundation (KCDF), the Centre for Multiparty Democracy-Kenya, ActionAid International and Kenya News Agency.
Jerry has also undertaken communications consultancies for several organisations including: Transparency International- Kenya, the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA), the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP), the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), Article 19, Arid Lands Information Network (ALIN), the Regional AIDS Training Network (RATN), the Kenya National Land Commission, ActionAid International Kenya, the Institute of Economic Affairs and the United Nations Millennium Development Goals Campaign.
He holds a Master of Arts in Communication Studies (Development Communication) and Bachelor of Arts [Communications & Sociology] degrees from the University of Nairobi. He is a member of the Public Relations Society of Kenya and is a certified International Project Manager, certified Master Personal Assistant (MPA) and a Certified Chartered Personal Executive Assistant (CPEA) and a member of the American Academy of Project Management.
