The Media Council of Kenya (MCK) has emphasised the pivotal role of innovation in shaping the future of the media landscape.
Speaking during a visit to Nyambene TV and Maua FM MCK Meru Regional Coordinator Jackson Karanja highlighted the importance of leveraging technology to remain competitive in the rapidly evolving media industry.
“New media platforms like Nyambene TV and Maua FM are at the forefront of our rapidly transforming media landscape. Embracing innovation and integrating advanced technologies will not only enhance content delivery but also ensure sustainability and relevance in this competitive industry”, he said.
He encouraged media houses to explore tools such as artificial intelligence, digital storytelling and data analytics to improve audience engagement and expand their reach.
Additionally, he reiterated the Council’s commitment to supporting new media platforms through training and capacity building.
“The Council is here to walk with you on this journey. From providing professional training to building capacity on emerging trends, we are dedicated to ensuring that all media houses, whether traditional or new, meet the highest standards of journalism”, he added.
Nyambene TV and Maua FM’s Station Manager Annabel Muthoni lauded the Council's for the valuable guidance and insights on the media industry.
