Kenyan citizens, individuals, local and regional professional and non-governmental organizations working in the field of journalism and freedom of expression can now nominate  Kenyan candidates for the UNESCO/Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize.

The prize is in honour of  Guillermo Cano, a Collombian journalist who died in exercise of his profession and is intended to honor a person, organization or institution that has made a notable contribution to the defense/promotion of press freedom anywhere in the world.

The Kenya Commission for UNESCO (KNATCOM) invites submissions for the nominations of the 2018 edition of the UNESCO/Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize, awarded annually on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day (3rd May).
